The focusing principle of a flashlight involves passing the light emitted by the LED through a lens to refract and focus or diffuse the light. The lens is usually made of transparent materials such as PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), PC (polycarbonate), or silicone. Fixed-focus flashlights mainly use aluminum alloy reflectors to refract the light emitted by the LED together. The heat resistance of aluminum alloy reflectors is much higher than that of plastic materials, so the brightness of a fixed-focus flashlight without focusing adjustment is higher than that of a focusing flashlight with the same configuration.
